Ain’t No Party Like a COVID Shop Party
A COVID birthday looks different for everyone.
Some land when there is restriction ease and gather with under 50.
Some land in the world of drive by’s that are filled with honks and shouts.
Some land during a state of emergency and can not leave their house at all.
In typical Capricorn fashion, I landed during the State of Emergency. Hmmm, what’s the difference between a snowstorm and a government lockdown order? In the grand scheme of movement, not much; however, 2021 was probably one of the best birthdays for me and my annual “Free Swag” tradition. Some retailers offered their perks online, and the mall was even quieter for those who requested my presence.
In total, I spent $110.98 and received a total value of approximately $257.94 on swag. The savings will go towards my tuition, but for yourself…who knows, maybe a vacation B-day for when the borders open.
